Methods of Practice-Inspired Research and DevelopmentLaajuus (3 ECTS)

Objective

The objective of the course is for students to familiarise themselves with various approaches to and orientations and methods of practice-oriented research and development. In addition, students participate in planning and implementation of research and development work, learn about a specific R&D method in more detail and participate in project work.

Content

Theoretical and conceptual approaches steering participation in development of practices, such as qualitative and quantitative research, action research
A project as a method of managing R&D work
Data collection in research and development, analysis of data and presentation of results
Conclusions drawn from and ethical issues, reliability and criticality in R&D projects.
