Practice-Inspired Research and Development in Laboratory WorkLaajuus (3 ECTS)

Objective

The objective is for students to familiarise themselves with research and development carried out in health care laboratories and with the principles and methods that steer R&D work. Students consolidate their competence in R&D methods as required in laboratory work and their ability to identify development targets in laboratory work.

Content

Clinical laboratory science as a discipline and its research subjects
R&D methods in health care laboratory work (in particular, statistical processing of data: describing, processing and methods of analysing statistical data)
Brainstorming a research and development project in laboratory work.
