Client-Centred Rehabilitation 1Laajuus (5 ECTS)

Objective

Students understand the client-centred approach as the foundation of rehabilitation and start to function in a client-centred manner. Students recognise factors affecting people's quality of life in different phases of their lives. Students are aware of the significance of functioning to coping with everyday life and can identify various factors contributing to functioning. Students are aware of factors that influence how they deal with clients and act in a client-centred manner in interactive situations, dealing with every client as an individual.
Studies are multidisciplinary in nature and are carried out in groups including students from the Polytechnic's different degree programmes involved in rehabilitation.
