Objectives
Students gain competence in implementing client-orientated nursing care in hospital environment. They are proficient in patients? safe basic care, drug treatment and pain management. Moreover, students acquire ability to work in accordance with the principles of asepsis in care environment and to evaluate vital signs (respiration, blood circulation, consciousness, secretion) and malfunctions related to them. They comprehend the principles of ergonomics in patient handling and are able to work according to them. Competence in supporting and caring for patients in long-term care deepens.
