Objective

Learning objectives:
Students adopt a client-oriented approach to nursing. They practise interaction skills required in the profession and are able to meet clients/patients professionally. Students identify needs related to clients’ daily activities as well as needs related to basic vital signs and apply methods of nursing to them. They work responsibly and are aware of the limitations of their actions. Students understand their responsibility for developing their expertise and utilise the feedback they receive. Students can act in accordance with the ethical principles and maintain confidentiality. They follow the rules of the work community and the principles underlying the activities.

Pass:
Students adopt a client/patient-oriented approach to nursing.
Students meet clients/patients professionally.
Students practise identifying clients'/patients’ needs and methods of nursing to help them.
Students work responsibly and are aware of the limitations of their actions.
Students utilise the feedback they receive.
Students act in accordance with the ethical principles and maintain confidentiality.
Students follow the rules of the work community and the principles underlying the activities.

Fail:
Students are not interested in nursing.
Students’ conduct is not professional.
Students are irresponsible in their actions and do not understand the limitations concerning their actions.
Students do not utilise the feedback they have received.
Students do neither act in accordance with the ethical principles nor maintain confidentiality.
Students do neither follow the rules of the work community nor the principles underlying the activities.
