Osaamistavoitteet

On completion of the course the student knows the principles and structure (E-UTRAN, Evolved Packet Core) of LTE 4G technology mobile networks, radio interface (SC-FDMA, OFDM) and the main protocols of signalling (Medium Access Control Layer, Access Stratum). The student also knows the basics of network planning.

Arviointikriteerit, tyydyttävä (1)

The student knows the basics of LTE 4G technology, including radio interfaces and the basic structure of the LTE 4G network. He/she knows the OFDM principles and the main protocols of signalling. To pass the course the student shall participate in lectures and laboratory exercises. He/she shall also deliver laboratory exercise results, calculation examples and pass the examination.

He/she knows the OFDM principles and the main protocols of signalling. To pass the course the student shall participate in lectures and laboratory exercises. He/she shall also deliver laboratory exercise results, calculation examples and pass the examination. In addition the student understands the concept of Physical Resource Block E-UTRAN and EPS.

He/she knows well the OFDM principles and the main protocols of signalling. To pass the course the student shall participate in lectures and laboratory exercises. He/she shall also deliver well prepared laboratory exercise results, calculation examples and pass well the examination. In addition the student understands the concept of Physical Resource Block E-UTRAN and EPS. He /she knows also the lectured multiple antenna applications and the basics of LTE 4G network planning and handovers of a LTE 4G technology network.
