Introduction To PhotoshopLaajuus (3 ECTS)

Objective

The course idea is to give student and understanding of basic operations with Adobe Photoshop software. On completion of the course students will know the principles of image manipulation, image transformation and graphics creation for their needs : Icons for mobile applications, UI element design, Web-page creation and etc. Additionally students learn the principles of high-quality image manipulation in a way of editing and adjusting images for school presentations/final thesis – watermarking , image compression and etc.

o Different data compression methods
o Vector graphics
o Web page layout creation
o Slicing the image for Web use
o File format choosing

Assessment criteria, approved/failed

On completion of the course student will be able to adjust image or create new for his Mobile/Web application, create attractive and modern UI (User Interface) for software and manipulate with images for his final thesis.
