Objective

The student knows how to apply differentiation and integration techniques to formulate and solve differential equations arising in the field of engineering.
The student builds an analytical and quantitave skills and confidents needed to apply mathematics in problem solving for engineering.

Applications of differentiation and integration.
Basics of differential equations and their applications.

The student recognizes the importance of differentiation and integration in mathematical modelling of engineering problems.
The student is able to solve standard problems related to applications of differentiation and integration.

The student knows fundamental methods to solve differential equations and understands their relations to applications.

Assessment criteria, excellent (5)

The student knows how to formulate mathematical and engineering problems using differential equations and is able to solve them using different methods.
