Objective

The student will understand the most important biochemical reaction events in the cell. The student will be familiar with function of genes and enzymes and the most important metabolic events of the cells. The student will be able to use biochemical methods and understand the analytics involved.

• Structure, function and expression of genes.
• Properties and function of enzymes. Classification of enzymes. Enzyme kinetics.
• Metabolism.
• Most important research methods in biochemistry.
