Objective

The student will master the essential skills in organic laboratory techniques and will learn to use IR and MS spectroscopy in characterization of a product. The student will learn to keep laboratory notebook, make reports, use manuals and information search.

Content

• Basic organic laboratory techniques, laboratory safety, keeping laboratory notebook, characterization of a compound by its physical properties, and spectroscopic methods.
