Objective

On completion of the course the student will have an understanding of the importance of deliveries for the economic result of contracting.

The student will be familiar with and able to write delivery documents. The student will be able to assess the effect of deliveries and changes in timetables on the economy of a construction site. The student will be able to use IT based EDI tools. The student will understand the importance of the logistics of the construction site for building.

Content

Logistics of a building services engineering construction site. Payments. Item price lists. Cost effects of timetable changes. Purchasing. Subcontracts. Electronic data interchange and deliveries.
