Objective
The student understands the implications of physical ergonomics in human safety, health and well-being. The student can analyse and estimate human activity, environment, and working tools with regard to the dimensions and needs of a human body. The student can utilize the ergonomic knowledge in developing operations, working environments and tools to achieve acceptable load.

- ergonomics as a concept and a phenomen
- layman and professional approaches to ergonomics
- ergonomics as a system of human-activity-environment-technology
- anthropometry in designing environments and equipment and in dimensioning them (human body measures and production of forces)
- working activity and requirements for mobility and postures and the associated physical working load ( .. and cardio-vascular load)
- accomplishing correct working load
- methods to estimate physical load
- principles of ergonimics to accomplish correct load
