Unix/Linux-basic (or equilevant experience with Unix/Linux-systems)

Assessment criteria, satisfactory (1)

Installation, configuration and maintenance skills
- The student can install the operating system according to simple instructions
- The student masters user and group administration
- The student can manage permissions for different resources in the system
- The student understands different terms in network configuration and knows how to add the workstation to an existing network
- The student can create file systems and manage them
- The student masters program installations and general system maintanance tasks

- The student can install the operating system using an automated installation method according to instructions
- The student masters user and group administration
- The student can manage permissions for different resources in the system, including extended permissions
- The student understands different terms in network configuration and knows how to add the workstation to an existing network
- The student can create file systems and manage them
- The student masters logical disk management and create different logical disk volumes
- The student masters program installations and general system maintanance tasks
- The student understands service management
