Objective

The student knows the important research and development trends and innovations in technology, with their implications to health informatics. The student knows the needs of a population; the future challenges relating to well-being, health and human functioning in order to be able to evaluate the need for technical solutions to promote well-being. The student can structure the future prospectives of health informatics against the national development programs and guidelines in the social services and healthcare. The student can consider the needs and ethical dimensions at a population level in evaluating health informatics solutions and innovations.

Students use the appropriate core concepts as well as make choices using the knowledge base of their own professional field. They recognize the prerequisites and consequences of their own actions.
Students’ actions follow the given rules and instructions, and the students use working methods appropriately and safely.
Students work according to the professional ethics of their own field, and they act responsibly as group members.

Students analyze the relationships between appropriate core concepts as well as justify their choices using the knowledge base of their own professional field. They analyze the prerequisites and consequences of their own actions.
Students act according to the rules and instructions given in their operating environment, and they use working methods appropriately and safely.
Students work according to the professional ethics of their own field, and they act flexibly as group members.
