Objective

On completion of the course the student is expected to understand the role of building services contracting in the construction process. The student is expected to be familiar with the labour market organisations and wage systems in the field. The student is also expected to be familiar with the principles of setting the price on a contract and calculate the bid and to be able to implement the standard conditions of contract on a general level. The student is expected to know the tasks, rights and responsibilities of supervisors, be familiar with the proceedings at site meetings and be able to act in them.

On completion of the course the student is expected to be able to write the most important documents concerning tender calculation and contracts for HVAC projects. The student is also expected to be able to act as an active party in site meetings and to implement the standard conditions of a construction contract. Moreover, the student is expected to be able to interpret the collective labour agreement generally. The student is expected to be able to draw up precise timetables for the main project and arrange the work phases with other projects.

The parties and distribution channels in the field of building services, contract pricing, labour market organizations and collective labour agreements, bidding competitions, site proceedings, site meetings, timetables purchasing timetables, tender calculation, general terms of contracts, construction supervision.

Introduction to HVAC Engineering, Heating Technology 1 and 2, Water Technology 1 and 2, Air Conditioning 1 and 2, Fundamentals in Building Economy
