HVAC Design ProjectLaajuus (3 ECTS)

Objective

On completion of the course the student will be expected to know what the phases in draft planning are, and how the documents for the planning are drawn. The student will be expected to be able to draw up the HVAC design for an average project.

Content

Project plan, in-advance planning, subproject planning, draft planning, implementation planning, tasks and duties during construction, commissioning, separate tasks, preparations for the contract and seminar tasks with presentations.
The HVAC design project is a complete design project with connections to working life. In the drafting phase of the design project the students work either individually or in groups depending on the case. The work plans are drawn up individually. The student will, when appropriate, draw up bidding and contract documents for design, plans for HVAC/R and building automation, user and maintenance manuals, documents for bidding invitation and other documents necessary for the preparation of the contract. As far as possible the project is implemented together with the students of electrical engineering and construction to bring forward the problems of integrating the planning of building services engineering and construction.

Qualifications

Professional studies in heating, water and ventilation technology are to be mostly completed.
