Objective
After completing the course the student has an understanding of the methods and goals in hybrid media technology and knows how to use them in a new innovative way. The student knows the required fundamental technologies for combining the fiber based platforms and digital media and is capable of participating in their design and application projects and processes and to evaluate their usability in variable use cases.

After completing the course the student has capabilities of evaluating the usage of hybrid media technology, its requirements, and applications in practical situations. The student can also design and produce a hybrid media application to be used in a distributed environment.

Qualifications
As a prerequisite for the course the fundamental knowledge of information technology, printing technology, and digital media technology are required.

The student can understand the meaning of augmented reality to the media industry and can use existing services.

The student can use the required technologies to broad applications of augmented reality. He/she can also understand the basics of printed electronics.
Assessment criteria, excellent (5)
The student can assess the business processes in connection to hybrid media and is able to define and develop new services.
