Objective

The student is provided with on overview of the current innovative media development, such as web 2.0 (etc.), social software, inter-related mobile applications, its potential emergent trends (in convergence and divergence) as well as of the research in the field. The student knows the main approaches of research on emergent technologies and methods such as, End–User Development, Social ecology, Activity theoretical approaches, Approaches on embodiment and embeddness, etc.

The student understands the challenges of defining what is innovative and how this relates to the methodology and research. The student is provided with conceptual tools for being able to search, keep track and critically judge the emerging methods and development in the field of media development and research on it.

- To understand the localization and the opposrtunities of synchronous mobile services
