Objective

A student knows the basic laws related to behaviour of light and understands the operation of the most important optical devices. After the course a student has basic understanding of radiation, radioactivity and radiation safety.
A student is able to do more advanced physical measurements, use modern measuring devices, analyze the results and write good technical reports.

Content

Optical physics: reflection, refraction, polarisation, interference, optical fibers, laser.
Basics of radiation physics and safety.
Laboratory exercises in electromagnetism, optics and radiation physics.
