3D-ModellingLaajuus (3 ECTS)

Objective

After passing the class the student can create 3D-models and 2D-drawings. Student is also able to see the usage of different materials in mechanical engineering applications and to understand the assemblies.

Content

The class contains number of modelling exercises done with CATIA. All these exercises are seamless continuation to class ‘Technical Drawing’. The modelling logic both in 2D and in 3D are in focus. Introduction to how to select material for appropriate applications in mechanical engineering, how to create technical diagrams and how to understand assemblies are essential.

Further information

Class consists of lectures, supervised assignments and assignments made at own time. Individual/group projects are to be carried out including complete technical documentation, too.
