2. Magnetic force and field.
3. Electromagnetic induction.
4. Mechanical vibrations and waves.

Qualifications

Basics of mechanics

Assessment criteria, satisfactory (1)

The student knows how to use the laws of electrostatics and magnetism to describe simple phenomena and to solve simple application problems.
The student knows the basic phenomena and laws relating to electromagnetic induction (Lenz law and induction law) and knows how to solve simple problems relating to them.
The student knows phenomena and laws relating to mechanical vibrations and understands the meaning of fundamental quantities. He/she is capable to solve simple problems relating to them.

Assessment criteria, good (3)

The student is able to apply basic laws of electrostatics, magnetism, electromagnetic induction and vibration in more demanding situations.

Assessment criteria, excellent (5)

The student is able to handle situations which require simultaneous application of various fundamental laws relating to the subject matter in the course. The student is able to apply the learned concepts to new situations.
