Objective

The student is able to design and commissioning usual hydraulic systems. He is also able to apply proportional and servo hydraulics in cases were those systems are needed. The student is able to commissioning proportional and servo hydraulic systems and knows principles of dynamic systems.

Content

1. Design and commissioning of usual hydraulic systems including system design exercise
2. Proportional hydraulics systems and their commissioning
3. Servo hydraulic systems and dimensioning of dynamic systems

Qualifications

Hydraulics, Hydraulics and Pneumatics

Assessment criteria, satisfactory (1)

1. The student is able to dimension the usual hydraulic systems and the needed actuators and components
2. The student knows the components of proportional hydraulics
3. The student knows the components of servo hydraulic

Assessment criteria, good (3)

1. The student knows the meaning of efficiency and is able to take it into account in system designing
2. The student is able to apply proportional hydraulics in certain cases
3. The student is aware of the difference between steering and regulation and is able to apply servo hydraulics in certain cases

Assessment criteria, excellent (5)

1. The student can choose the components according to the system needs
2. The student is able to commission the proportional hydraulic systems
3. The student is able to dimension the dynamic systems and can choose the required components
