Objective

After the course the student is familiar with the use and installation of switches, relays, safety components and motors, cables and light sources. The student is familiar with the most important aspects of electric safety.

Content

1. The basic electric components and their installations.
2. Electric drawings.
3. Electric safety.
4. Electric networks in buildings.
5. Commission testing in buildings and electric systems.

Assessment criteria, satisfactory (1)

1. The student is familiar with basic components of power engineering and electric safety so that (s)he can work safely.
2. The student knows the basic structure of electrical networks of buildings and the significance of commissioning tests.

Assessment criteria, good (3)

1. The student can read electric drawings fluently and implement installations based on them.

Assessment criteria, excellent (5)

1. The student can design electric installations and make electric drawings.
