Content
1) Engines steam power plants refrigeration machines
2) air conditioning, chemical reactions, balances
Qualifications
Physics, Mathematics
Assessment criteria, satisfactory (1)
1. Engines, steam power plants. The student knows the energy-generating equipment so that he/she is able to calculate the related balances
2. Refrigerating equipment, air-conditioning. The student is familiar with thermodynamic concepts related to air-conditioning and refrigeration machinery
3. Chemical reactions, equilibrium. The student is familiar with the formation of combustion-related reactions and chemical equilibrium.
Assessment criteria, good (3)
1) Engines, steam power plants. The student knows how thermodynamic parameters affect the energy-producing devices’ performance.
2) Refrigeration equipment, air-conditioning. The student is familiar with the air conditioning and refrigeration equipment thermodynamics.
3) Chemical reactions, equilibrium. The student is familiar with the formation of combustion-related reactions and chemical equilibrium to the extent that he/she is able to form the equations.
Assessment criteria, excellent (5)
1) Engines, steam power plants. The student knows how thermodynamic parameters affect the energy-producing devices’ performance and can analyze rather complex plants.
2) Refrigeration equipment, air-conditioning. The student is excellently familiar with the air conditioning and refrigeration equipment thermodynamics.
3) Chemical reactions, equilibrium. The student is familiar with the formation of combustion-related reactions and chemical equilibrium to the extent that he/she is able to form the equations and solve chemical balances.
