Objective

The student knows the basic algebra, equations, linear systems of equations, geometry and trigonometry and basics of vector algebra.

Algebra, equations, linear systems of equations, geometry, trigonometry and vector algebra.

Elementary school mathematics.

Assessment criteria, satisfactory (1)

The student is able to solve linear and quadratic equations and linear systems of equations, is able to apply trigonometric functions and Pythagorean theorem, knows the basic concepts of vector algebra and is able to deal with basic vector operations.

Assessment criteria, good (3)

In addition to the requirements above, the student is able to form equations and systems of equations to describe different phenomena and has good skills and understanding relating to concepts like scalar product and vector product, and is able to use them in simple applications.

Assessment criteria, excellent (5)

In addition to the requirements above, the student has deep understanding about the topics covered in the course and is able to apply them creatively and sensibly in different applications.
