Objective

The student knows the usual sensors in machine automation applications and is aware of their wiring and accuracy. The student is able to apply sensors and measurement equipment in machine automation applications using different data transmission ways.
The student knows the effects of noise and disruptions and knows how to prevent them.

2. Use of sensors, equipment and data transmission in practice
3. Digital signal processing

1. The student knows the usual sensors used in machine automation
2. The student can switch and test the usual sensors in a certain application
3. The student knows the usual needs for digital signal processing and can set the parameters of the signal filtering

Assessment criteria, good (3)

1. The student knows the sensors and their wiring used in machine automation
2. The student can choose and switch the sensors needed in machine automation
3. The student recognizes the need for signal processing and is able to shape signals according to the needs

Assessment criteria, excellent (5)

1. The student knows the sensors and measure equipment including the wiring in machine automation applications
2. The student can choose the needed sensors and equipment in machine automation applications and is able to introduce them
3. The student is able to apply signal processing for achieving certain results
