Objective

Upon completion of the course the student knows coordinate measuring machines and their theoretical background. The student knows how to use measurers (in oder to measure objects). The student understands the importance of measuring of machine tools, condition monitoring and calibration for the quality produced by workshop. The student knows the procedures and machines required to perform measuring. The student understands the principles of quality control and its implementation

1. Theory of coordination measurers
2. Armcoordinate measuring machines (Romer, PC-dmis)
3. Operating coordinate measuring machines (DEA, PC-dmis)
4. Measurements of machine tools and condition monitoring, calibration of a coordinate measuring machine
5. Statistical quality control (Measurlink)

Manufacturing Engineering 1 and 2, Quality Management

1. The student knows basic and various types of measuring methods.

1. The student knows how to use measuring methods for quality control
2. The student knows various types of measurement systems, measure sensors, their calibration and how to check them
3. The student understands machine tools measurements, purpose and ways to carry out condition monitoring

1. The student knows how to use measuring methods in quality check controls
2. The student knows various types of measurement methods, measure sensors, their calibration and how to check them
3. The student understands machine tools measurements, purpose and ways to carry out condition monitoring
4. The student understands the principles of statistical quality control and can use SPC
