Objective

The student knows the basics of integral calculus and can use them in applications. The student is capable of solving mathematical problems with computer.

Integral calculus. Exercises using computer.

Assessment criteria, satisfactory (1)

The student knows the concepts of definite and indefinite integral and is able to use the basic rules of integration. The student knows the principle of how definite integral can be estimated numerically.

Assessment criteria, good (3)

In addition to the requirements above, the student can apply definite integral for example to calculate areas, volumes and mean of a function.

Assessment criteria, excellent (5)

In addition to the requirements above, the student has a deep understanding of the topics covered in the course and is able to apply them creatively and sensibly in different applications.
