Objective

A student knows practices and procedures used in working life and is also familiar with the working procedures, work methods and equipment used in real work life surroundings within his/her field of study. A student also widely knows the terminology used in his/her field of study.

A student is able to apply and test skills acquired through studies in real-life working situations.

Further information

Bachelor of Engineering degree includes 20 weeks (30 credit points) of industrial placement. Industrial placement can be undertaken in two parts.

In the beginning of studies a student should seek for practical work tasks (Professional Industrial Placement 1) and in the progress of studies and after obtaining professional skills through studies, a student should seek for more demanding tasks that guide towards the future profession (Professional Industrial Placement 2).
