Osaamistavoitteet
The course is intended to give the basic foundations to study Astronomy. After the completion of the course, the student knows the phenomena that occurs in the Universe, and is able to apply basic mathematical formulas and physics models to analyze them.

3. Stars and their properties
4. The Sun and its processes
5. Planets and exoplanets
6. Planetarium and ephemeris software
Esitietovaatimukset
Prerequisites:
Basics of Engineering Mathematics and Engineering Physics. Basic use of Python is recommended.

The student knows the essential theory and concepts in the field and can utilize them in analysis and solutions of simple problems.
