Objective

Student can implement LAMP environment and know how to tune components of LAMP to the needs of the company. Further, the student is familiar with the system cost benefits, when the services are in your control. Similarly, the student is aware of the security threats that are possible services located outside service providers.

Content

Installed a functioning LAMP environment (Linux, Apache, MySQL and PHP), each of which has been published under the GPL license. In the course is installed on the Linux platform Apache web server, MySQL database server and support software of PHP -script language. The followed by a review of those parts of the regulations definitions companies serving the whole. This is made for the experimental PHP / MySQL application. In addition, the course examines how open source database software PosgreSQL adequate for the same purpose.

Students are able to independently install the two most common open-source database software to a predefined Linux environment.

Assessment criteria, good (3)

Students are able to create simple databases carried out in the environment.

Assessment criteria, excellent (5)

The student knows the database system uses the SQL query language of the standard SQL language compared to. Students are able to make effective use of the SQL query language and to create a demanding relational databases of the installed environment.
