Objective

On completion of the course, students knows the methods for improving performance of a vSphere system, and to monitor performance of the installed system.

Content

Basics of performance of virtualized server environment, vSpere tools for monitoring the performance of ESX/ESXi hosts, diagnosing performance problems, optimizing virtual host configurations, application performance monitoring.

Student knows the methods for improving and monitoring vSphere performance.

Assessment criteria, good (3)

Student is able to install and use vSphere tools for improving and monitoring vSphere performance.

Assessment criteria, excellent (5)

Student is able to design, implement and maintain a high availability VMware system.
