Prep Course for Professional English 2Laajuus (3 ECTS)

Objective

The student learns to use his/her basic language skills for work situations using the basic vocabulary and functional structures. The student understands field-oriented, easy texts. She/he can understand spoken language and communicate in everyday situations. He/she can also write comprehensible messages.

Content

Terminology for workplace communication such as products, companies, studies and jobs, and related communication events
Grammar related to relevant contents
Text and spoken English comprehension
Oral interaction practice
Writing of texts such as emails, letters and reports.

Qualifications

The course is intended for student with less than B2 level received in the diagnostic assessment test. The aim is to prepare fopr the obligatory English studies in the programme.
