Objective

The student understands the basic concepts of EMC and knows who to apply EMC as part of system design procedure. The student can analyze different coupling methods of interface and minimize the effect of both radiated and emitted noise with proper system design and shielding.

Also the student knows the regulations and testing procedures after completing the unit.

Content

Capacitive and inductive coupling of interference, cabling and interference, radiated interference and shielding, grounding and filtering in electronic systems.

EMC-regulations and EMC-testing, electrostatic discharge (ESD).
