Objective

After the course, the student has the ability to create and configure a Secure Network using the Junos Operating System

Content

- Intrusion Detection System (IDS)
- Intrusion Prevention System (IPS)
- Level 4 and Level 7 Content Switching (WWW, E-Mail)
- Internet Protocol Security (IPSEC) Virtual Private Network (VPN)
- Socket Security Layer (SSL) VPN
- IDS/IPS, content filtering (WEB, EMAIL)
- Clustering

Assessment criteria, satisfactory (1)

Generic security knowledge:
- The student understands what the basic security topics are (e. g., IDS, IPS, IPSEC, SSL, VPN)

IPSec:
- the student is able to configurate IPSec VPN with help;
- the student understands what accesslists are and is able to configure them with help;

Firewall:
- the student understands what Anti-Spam filtering is and is able to configure it with the instructor's help;
- the student is able to program a firewall using Junos CLI with the instructor's help;

Content filtering:
- the student understands what content filtering is and is able to configure using Junos CLI with the instructors help;

Assessment criteria, good (3)

- the student shows independent solutions.
