Objective
The student understands the principles of electronic circuits, laboratory devices, and the fundamentals of electric safety issues. The student can design a signal-conditioning subsystem for a analog-to-digital converter. The student can test the design in a laboratory.

Assessment criteria, satisfactory (1)
The student understands the operating principles of semiconductor components and operational amplifiers and is able to analyze simple transistor circuits and operational amplifier circuits. The student understands the significance of A/D conversion.
Assessment criteria, good (3)
The student is able to design simple transistor and operational amplifier circuits according to the given specifications. The student understands the operation of A/D conversion and is able to design and realize simple A/D converter circuits.
Assessment criteria, excellent (5)
The student profoundly understands the operation of different transistor and operational amplifier circuits. The student is able to analyze and design signal conditioning circuits for the given specifications using A/D converters.
