Objective
After completing the course the student can install and manage services in a Linux-environment. Additionally the student has basic knowledge of Linux-system monitoring and security (firewall).

- NFS / Samba file sharing services
- Sendmail
- WWW service (Apache)
- Name service (BIND)
- System monitoring
- Firewall configuration
Qualifications
Unix/Linux basics and Advanced Unix/Linux-course (or equilevant experience with Unix/Linux-systems)

- The student knows how to install different server software
- The student knows how to give basic configuration to different service software
- The student understands the basics of system monitoring
- The student knows what firewall is and understands its function in the system
