Distribution Technology Laboratory WorksLaajuus (3 ECTS)
Course unit code: TE00AD46
General information
- Credits
- 3 ECTS
Objective
Students are able to participate in measuring the voltages, currents and intensities in relation to the requirements of distribution networks. Students know energy and qualitative criteria and can simulate distribution system faults in practical measurements.
Content
Static voltage relays, overcurrent protection relays and 1-phase and 3-phase, power factor adjustment, energy measurements of distribution networks, transformer oil tests and transmission technology of distribution systems.
Assessment criteria, satisfactory (1)
1. Students are able to participate in the measurement group.
2. They understand the process of drawing up a measurement protocol and are able to present the processed data, both orally and in writing.
Assessment criteria, good (3)
1. Students are able to lead a measurement group and to provide guidance to team members on the basis of written work instructions.
2. Students are able to find the errors in connections and correct them independently.
3. Students are able to design a rational measurement protocol and are able to present the information logically based on the measurements.
4. The student is able to present a written and oral report using a measurement protocol.
Assessment criteria, excellent (5)
1. Students are ready for measurements without the work instructions and are able to instruct other members if necessary.
2. Students are able to draw up work instructions if needed.
3. Students are able to draw up a reasonable report without work instructions and are able to suggest clear improvements in the laboratory work.
