Emergency Systems in BuildingsLaajuus (3 ECTS)

Objective

The student is able to plan a fire indication system and an emergency lighting system for a building according to three standards and official rules. The student is able to plan an indication system for house breaking according to the quidelines of insurance companies. The student is able to make an invitation of tender for other safety systems, such as locking systems, camera surveillance and emergency announcements.

Assessment criteria, satisfactory (1)

1. The student knows the instructions concerning fire indication systems.
2. The student is able to plan an emergency lighting system for an office building.
3. The student is able to help the customer in technical matters concerning burglar alarm systems, locking systems, camera surveillance, audio systems and emergency announcements.

Assessment criteria, good (3)

1. The student is able to plan a fire indication system to an office building.
2. The student is able to plan an emergency lighting system for an office building.
3. The student is able to represent the client in technical matters concerning burglar alarm systems, locking systems, camera surveillance, audio systems and emergency announcements.

1. The student is able to plan fire indication systems to different buildings.
2. The student is able to plan an emergency lighting system for different buildings.
3. The student is able to represent the client in technical matters concerning burglar alarm systems, locking systems, camera surveillance, audio systems and emergency announcements.
4. The student is able to compare the properties of different systems and choose adequate equipment to them.
