Objective
The student is familiar with the essential electronic measuring methods. S/He understands the mechanisms of measuring errors and the principles of minimizing errors. The student also understands the principles of calibration and is aware of the relevant quantities defining the performance of passive and active measuring devices. The student learns to select the appropriate measuring equipment for performing different kinds of measurements. He or she understands metrological questions.
Content
Basic concepts, common specifications of sensors, multimeters, oscilloscopes, measuring errors, calibration, maintaining the accuracy, presentation and saving of the measurement results. Automated measurements and measurement philosophy. Measuring process and electrical quantities.
