Electric Drive Control and ProtectionLaajuus (3 ECTS)

Course unit code: TE00AD60

General information

Credits
3 ECTS

Objective

The student is familiar with the operation of the most common DOL drives. He/she knows the essential control and protection functions of an electric drive.

The student is able to produce an electric drive functional description based on a requirement specification and assure the safe operation of the system.

The student knows the switching, control and protection devices and graphical symbols well enough to be able to design electric drive circuit diagrams according to the functional description. He/she can define and verify drive functionality from the circuit diagrams.

The contents and the assessment criteria of the course may be different depending on the teacher of the course.

Content
