Analog Electronics ILaajuus (6 ECTS)
Course unit code: TE00AC39
General information
- Credits
- 6 ECTS
Objective
After completion of this course the student will be able to perform decibel conversions. The student will be able to design one-stage common emitter bipolar transistor and common source field-effect transistor amplifiers. The student will be able to design Colpitts oscillators and measure the amplitude response of a voltage amplifier using a function generator and an oscilloscope. The student will understand the operation principles of A, AB and C -type power amplifiers.
The student will as well understand the physical principles of various diode types and is able to use them for different applications. He/she understands the basic principles of power supplies (from rectifiers to regulators).
The student is familiar with the semiconductor componets used in power electronics.
