Communication Skills in Electrical EngineeringLaajuus (3 ECTS)

Objective

The student becomes confident in communicating in demanding interactions in a professional and communicative manner, considering the expectations of the community, client, language and organization culture.
Peer and self evaluations are used to construct a positive self image of one’s language and communication skills and an ability to continue learning of languages.

Content

- Effective interaction strategies in demanding work situations such as meeting and negotiation simulations and technical process presentations.
- Mediation of content from a genre to another, e.g. a report processed from and article; a slide series processed from coursebook; research report processed from a commercial text. Portfolio work.

Qualifications

A completed course in Professional English is prerequired.
