Objective

Understanding the rudiments of EMC through modeling, calculation exercises and knowledge in disturbance attenuation components. The student learns also the EMC standardization system used in the determination and commercial trading of equipment. The products can´t even be sold without the CE-marking in the EU area.

Content

Sources of electromagnetic disturbance, coupling of disturbances, measuring the strength of disturbance fields, eliminating disturbances, theory of electromagnetic protection and protection requirements for casing. Standards, recommendations and the European EMC Directive. Calculation exercises and demonstrations.
