Course unit code: TE00AD62

General information

Credits
3 ECTS

Objective

The aim of this course is that after completion of the course the student will be able to design an electric drive very accurately. After completion of the course the student understands the basic structures of the frequency converters, he/she knows what components the manufacturers use in net bridges, intermediate circuit and motor bridges. The student is able to select the correct bridges to be used for each application. The student will be familiar with the structures of controlled rectifiers, inverters and their operating principles and the basics of the open and closed loop controls related to frequency converters.

The contents and the assessment criteria of the course may be different depending on the teacher of the course.
