Course unit code: TE00AD61

General information

Credits
3 ECTS

Objective

The student is familiar with the operation and connections of the most common electrical machines and drives. He/she can design and make measurements to analyze electrical machines and drives operation.
The student is able to use the multimeter, installation tester, power analyzer and oscilloscope for measuring electrical quantities. The student can evaluate the reliability of measurement data.
The student will be able to produce and present a logical report of the measurement, result data and other observations.
The contents and the assessment criteria of the course may be different depending on the teacher of the course.

Content

1. Commissioning and maintenance measurements.
2. Input surge and load current measurements.
3. Temperature-rise and efficiency determination.
4. Electrical drive main and control circuit connections and measurements.
5. DOL, star-delta and reversing starter circuits.

Assessment criteria, satisfactory (1)

1. The student can make circuit connections and perform electric drive commissioning and maintenance measurements.
2. The student can make a report based on measurements, result data and other observations.
3. The student is able to prepare and make a presentation on the laboratory practice he/she performed.
