Objective

The studies help the student to gain such skills in English as to allow him/her to acquire information from texts in English and operate professionally in his/her position with clients and colleagues.
The competencies involve good interaction skills in client and expert situations and mediation of knowledge from sources to different kinds of genres and documents. The studies support the student to gain a realistic conception of his/her own communication competence and to continue developing his/her linguistic skills.

-Language for engineering studies
- Language and interaction for career planning and recruitment
- Terminology and texts in the field of construction
- Corporate work, industrial and business environments and relevant texts
- Oral interaction practice: oral communication at building sites, company presentations, telephone calls, oral reporting
- Written documentation: short messages, letters, quotations.

Qualifications

The prerequisite for this course is B2 demonstrated in diagnostic tests or preparatory courses.
