Objective

On completion of the course the student will be able to describe:
- organizations in the construction industry and their operation
- the significance of construction plans, drawing symbols, processes in construction
- differences between new building and renovation
- thermal insulation, waterproofing, refractory insulation and sound insulation
- the need for barrier-free building and building permits

Content

Organizations in the construction industry, managing building information, building permit and implementation drawings, thermal insulation, waterproofing, refractory insulation and sound insulation, barrier-free building.

Assessment criteria, satisfactory (1)

The student is able to:
- acquire information in the field of construction
- use thermal insulation, waterproofing and refractory insulation
- describe the differences between new building and renovation
- draw up the construction plan for a simple sauna building

Assessment criteria, good (3)

The student is able to:
- use and apply sources of information in construction
- interpret the current situation in new building and renovation
- draw up the construction plan for a sauna building
- set goals for specialization in construction

Assessment criteria, excellent (5)

The student is able to:
- implement the future development of different sources of information in construction
- apply the significance of renovation in the future
- connect the significance of thermal insulation, waterproofing and refractory insulation to building elements
- develop a career path and set goals
