Objective
The student will be able to
- use equations of quantities and perform simple mechanics unit conversions
- define quantities in kinematics
- describe the motion of a body computationally and graphically by using kinematic quantities
- understand the concept of force and to list and describe types of forces
- draw a force diagram of a body
- present Newton’s laws
- model the dynamics of a body with the help of Newton’s laws
- understand the concept of energy
- define work, kinetic and potential energy and power
- present the energy conservation law and the energy principle of mechanics
- model energy conversion and transfer

- Equations of quantities and mechanics unit conversions
- Kinematics: position, transfer, velocity and acceleration
- Dynamics: the concept of force, types of forces, force diagram and Newton’s laws
- Energy: the concept of energy, the energy conservation law, work, mechanical energy, the energy principle of mechanics, power
