Objective

Student get acquainted with transportation engineering and highway design. Student understands phenomen of traffic and different transportation methods. Student get acquainted with highway design with help of modern CAD-design programs.

Management and regulations of traffic routes. Design system of roads and streets. Basics of traffic engineering. Design methods of roads and streets. Geometry of roads and streets. Environmental aspects in road design. Documentation and contents of a normal highway or street plan. Design principles with a cad-program. Plans for a simple intersection.
